ELECTRICT SHOCK

Electrict shock is one of the common hazards people face while on duty in the factory or at home.This is the reason why we often hear or read about people affected by electrict shock.Elect shock can give one serious injury or kill one outrightly.Domestic electricity is normally of low voltage and consequently inflicts injury or kills slowly.Electrict shock received from high tension wires kills the victim on the spot.In such situation ,the electrict shock victim remains attached to the source of current or is blown off.

If one falls victim of high tension wire electric shock and is still in contact with the source or near a high voltage source, you should not touch him or else, you will get electricuted too.The electricity authority should be alerted immediately to switch the current off in the area the electric shock vitim is located.On the other hand ,if, in a low voltage electric shock, the victim is in contact with the source,you should switch off the current and pull off the plug.If these are not possible,get hands dry,stand on rubber slippers,and using a dry piece of wood or plastic,push the victim off the contact.

In either case,the electric shock victim should be rushed to the hospital immediately.
